The principal of Edison Preparatory School in Tulsa confirms the football team is in self-quarantine due to a possible case of COVID-19.
In a letter sent to parents and families on Tuesday, Principal Clay Vineyard said they received a report of an individual who had close contact with individuals who tested positive for COVID-19.
As part of their contact tracing process the school asked the football coaching staff and football players to self-quarantine this week.
The scheduled game against Booker T. Washington that was scheduled for Friday, September 18, has been canceled.
School officials said they will continue to monitor the football team's status and advise of any additional quarantine days as needed.
